Restore the Home, Not Just the Damaged Surface

When property damage is being handled through an insurance claim, Fortified Construction provides residential repair and restoration services focused on rebuilding the affected areas of the home.

From roofing and exterior damage to interior repairs and multi-scope restoration, we approach the work as a construction project first.

The Visible Damage May Only Be Part of the Project

Storms and water can affect several parts of a home.
Roofing, siding, gutters, trim, drywall, flooring, framing, insulation, and finishes may all become part of the repair.

Fortified’s broad residential construction capability allows those scopes to be coordinated when appropriate.

Repairing the Systems That Protect the Home

Exterior restoration may involve:

  • Roofing
  • Roof decking where required
  • Flashing
  • Siding
  • Gutters and downspouts
  • Exterior trim
  • Carpentry
  • Windows and doors within project scope
  • Decks and related exterior components

The objective is to restore the affected construction—not simply replace the most visible material.

Putting the Interior Back Together

Depending on the project, Fortified’s construction scope may include:

  • Framing and carpentry repairs
  • Drywall
  • Ceiling repair
  • Flooring and subfloor work
  • Trim
  • Painting
  • Finish restoration
  • Reconstruction of damaged areas
  • Coordination of required specialty trades

Fortified’s Role Is Construction

Fortified Construction is a construction contractor.

Our responsibility is to evaluate and price the physical work within our scope, prepare appropriate construction documentation, and perform or coordinate the agreed repairs.

Insurance carriers and policyholders remain responsible for their respective insurance decisions and obligations.

Fortified does not determine insurance coverage and does not represent itself as a public adjuster.

Clear Scope Matters During Restoration

Insurance-related construction may involve estimates, photographs, repair scopes, selections, documentation, and changes as the work progresses.

Fortified’s role is to maintain a clear record of the construction we are responsible for performing and communicate when project conditions affect that scope.

Not Every Condition Is Visible Before Work Begins

Removing damaged materials can reveal additional construction conditions.

Water intrusion may extend farther than initially visible. Wood may be deteriorated beneath exterior finishes. Substrates may require repair before replacement materials can be installed.

When those conditions affect Fortified’s scope, they should be documented, communicated, and handled through the appropriate project process.

The Goal Is a Properly Rebuilt Home

The reason a project began does not change the construction standard.

Preparation, water management, substrates, transitions, installation, and finish details still matter.

The objective is to perform the agreed work properly and return the affected portions of the property to a completed condition.
